Hostage situation went wrong

Author - Maria La Plaga

Two days ago, Santez family were enjoying their fine, evening meal when a group of masked man breached into their house and took them hostage. One of the Santez family, Bernardo, has been sent to an abandoned farm in order to “receive a bag” from US soldiers.

However, everything went wrong right after arrival of US soldiers at abandoned farm. First, they left Bernardo tied up within one of the houses and went to deal with hostage situation. According to a witness report, one of the SF operators has stepped on an IED during the siege of a house. While details of operations remain concealed by a shadow of mystery, apparently the operation itself has failed and resulted in deaths of all hostages.

FARMERS READY TO DEFEND THEMSELVES

If one month ago, farmers would feel themselves in safety with USA soldiers nearby, today it seems to be a completely different picture.

One of the villagers, who lives in Gustow, has reported a rather questionable act of US Special forces. According to his statement, two soldiers tied him up and stripped him off his clothes right in the middle of the village. “He looked suspicious” – seems to be a justified reason to simply apprehend and strip a man of his dignity.

"They are meant to bring peace! Not humiliation!"

Although, there seems to be no end to special forces permissiveness. A group of farmers have also reported a number of outrageous actions committed by US forces.

"First, they land at your farm with their helicopters as if it was  some sort of their base! Then they point their guns at you, demanding explanations as if you were a criminal and then they tie you up!"

States Juan, a 43 years old farmer who lives peacefully at his farm and had no experience with US soldiers prior this incident. According to another farmer, one of the US
soldiers approached him and demanded full cooperation just because this soldier carried a rifle.

"Just because they have weapons it does not mean they can dictate whatever they want to us! We have our own rights. Is this not what Eastern Alliance Fought for?"

With this and other similar incidents, farmers begin to arm themselves with shotguns and other easily accessible weapons. While they don’t have any intentions to fire upon
American soldiers, this is already one of many red flags that has been arising within the past few days after intensive patrols, conducted by US personnel.
