AFTERMATH OF STORM "ALENA"

Author - James Norrington

It has been 47 years since last visit of storm called “ALENA”. Recorded peak of wind – 102mph.

Fallen trees, destroyed roofs, fishing boats thrown out on the coast and damaged cars is merely a small fracture of overall damage that has been brought upon Santiago Tierno last night.

Governments of both Papelonia and New Tierno have yet not published an official list of casualties caused by the storm. Yet local hospitals report so far only fourteen deaths and sixty seven wounded citizens.

While storm has already passed, its strong wind still remains in the area, reaching at times up to 32mph.

New Tierno and USMC forces are receiving an overwhelming amount of reports from civilians and without a doubt – next week will be purely dedicated to fight the consequences of the “ALENA” storm.

Governments of both countries highly advise citizens to stay at home today. USMC will also patrol coasts and sea and will either warn or detain civilians who have decided to go out to the sea today.

Hospitals are highly advising to call in first before driving in their facilities, as currently all medical facilities are encountering an enormous load. USS “Liberty” was at the southern shores of New Tierno. According to Major Donovan Lee, they are scanning bottom of the sea for any wrecks.

Last night a bright spark, followed by explosion and a gust of smoke emerged in this area and some people suggest – it could have been a plane crash.
