SERIAL KILLER ESCAPES US SF OPERATIVES.

Author - James Norrington

It is 4:00AM and I am preparing myself for an adventure like I have not been on before. Today I get to tag-along with United States special forces that we all heard about, investigating the mysteries series of murders. Are they truly as bad as we have deemed so far?

As I put on a ballistic vest provided by my editorial office labeled by a “PRESS” sign, I realize this day will be very different from others. When I arrive at the American airbase in the north, I am greeted by several US pilots that point me to helicopter I am supposed to board.

The ride gets me to one of forwarded American bases and I am once again greeted – this time by my personal security team provided by good old Uncle Sam. These two soldiers stand out from the rest by irregular clothing but seem generally concerned by my well-being. And for obvious security reasons their names have been redacted.

After a series of confused logistical actions, we finally reach a military element I am supposed to attach to. The famous special forces tasked with the investigation. I am brought to a house belonging to Elratio brothers that have been targeted by the mysterious serial killer.

The lieutenant in charge tells me that so far, 4 US Marines and Mr. Elratio Jr. have been murdered by the serial killer. I am told he calls himself “L” and leaves a trail of leads behind him driving the US forces on a wild goose chase. But before that, I am also brought to the Elratio residence, where one of the brothers has been found murdered. We then head out to follow the lead. An armored vehicle I find myself in stops in the vicinity of another lead.

US soldiers secure the area and my protection detail, and I spend a lot of time locked in the back seat talking. Apart from a lot of explosives, “L” left the dead body of the second Horatio brother in a small pond at the location. We send our deepest condolences from the editorial house to any concerned family members. Another lead at the location points us to a nearby town.

During the drive I get to mingle with the hardy focused soldiers fighting for the US government. Although they seem very task oriented and pushy it solely comes from the nature of their training and the type of work they do. Behind the mask are genuine, nice (and even funny) men, fathers, sons. And from what I could gather they really do seem to mean well apart from disobeying all local traffic laws.

In the town, we discover a small cave that is apparently linked to “L” that has a white off-road parked in front of it. After a while I learn that the killer has indeed been spotted inside but managed to slip away right under the nose of US operatives. The cave contained a brutal slaughterhouse with five more unidentified bodies being found inside along with numerous tools and a weapon. The killer has been reported to be wearing a black hazmat suit with a mask on – and seems to have a twisted reason to his killings. He has been quoted saying “There is corruption and I need to correct it” and the commanding lieutenant also confided that “L” has way too much information about their elements. Is he saying the newly formed state is corrupted? Or can we link the focus group of his killings to the United States and indicate he has evidence of a more twisted side of the US government and its armed forces?

As we lose the hot trace of the serial killer the team, I am attached to moves to the Papelonian border to handle an escalating situation which we covered in yesterday’s breaking news post.

Nevertheless, this is what we know about the serial killer so far:

1) nicknamed “L”
2) targets USmilitary personnel and their accomplices

3) wears a black hazmat suit with a mask
4) ruthless, determined, and elusive
5) highly dangerous
