US and UN forces are pulling back from Anizay province

Cartels sunset is nigh?

In the past seven years, Mexican government was dedicating its inner forces to combat drug and live "stock" traffics across Mexican and US borders.

While US was able to apprehend and shut down numerous cartel cells on its own territory, they were not officially permitted to conduct any sort of operations on Mexican soil, even if that was in a common interest with the Mexican government.

Two weeks ago a cartel leader Manuel la Pierre has been arrested by the police of US on his second day of visiting USA. It is rumored that Manuel was the owner of the Sonatricia islands, that lies about 80km from a coastline of Mexico but the government seems to be rather inactive about it since nothing has been brought up to the investigation forces of Mexico  so far, as one of the inner reporters has stated.

It is only a matter of time, however, when Mexico will conduct a check on that claim, be it under US pressure or not.

Bloodbath in anizay

For almost four years US along with UN forces were conducting anti-islamic operations within Anizay province in order to decrease the amount of terrorism and its groups.

US and UN forces were cooperating together since 2017 and now that their time-being within Anizay province comes to an end, US president has signed a new document which promptly extends US Army presence within Anizay province for two more years.

This decision was met with full opposition from the locals and only encouraged them to join anti-US movements and protests. One of which was a group called "Sun Riders".

Ahmad Fankov was a leader of this group, using extremist methods against US troops. Last week he was detained by a Special Forces group after a UAV missile has hit a building he was in.

To this day it still remains unclear who launched a missile onto a building, in the middle of a city, surrounded by the civilians. Neither US or UN forces are taking a responsibility for it.

Captain Ohaya of the United States Army assumed that this wasn't a UAV strike at all but an explosion caused by the terrorists themselves over a mistake during IED creation.

However, this only has added more fuel into the fire. A new, currently unnamed group has been seen on multiple occasions, fighting both the opposition force and the US troops.

According to numerous reports and leaks from one of our agents, this unknown group has a currently a count of thirty five opposition soldiers and eight US soldiers (six of which were a UH-60 crew sent on a surveillance mission).

Among the civilians this group has already been named as Desperados. We will continue our searches to find out who they are.

However, recent loss of eight US soldiers seems to be a last straw as after a meeting between US President and Major Hargard, a decision was made for the US forces to be pulled out of Anizay province, without any time extension.
